Assistant Professor in Public Administration

Job Description

The role of the Public Administration instructor encompasses teaching undergraduate Public Administration/Management courses, as well as academic advising, professional development, and institutional/community service.

  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the teaching discipline.
  • Develop syllabi for relevant courses;
  • Review, evaluate, and recommend student textbooks and learning materials;
  • Develop, and use a variety of teaching materials that assist students in meeting course objectives;
  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods;
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives;
  • Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines;
  • Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs;
  • Hold regular office hours;
  • Participate in department and college-wide professional development activities and committees.

Duties and responsibilities:

Required Skills:

The applicant is expected to be able to teach in both Arabic and English languages. S/he is expected to maintain professional ethical, and responsible interactions with students, faculty, and staff.

  • إمتلاك المعارف و القدرات والمهارات في تدريس مقررات البكالوريوس في الإدارةالعامة والمقررات ذات الصلة في التخصص
  • تطوير مناهج للمقررات ذات الصلة.
  • مراجعة و تقييم و رفع التوصيات بالكتب المدرسية والمواد التعليمية للطلاب.
  • تطوير واستخدام مجموعة متنوعة من المواد التعليمية التي تساعد الطلاب في تحقيق أهداف المقرر
  • بذل جهود متواصلة لتحسين جودة التعليم و التعلُّم من خلال استخدام المنهجيات والتقنيات وطرق التعليم المبتكرة.
  • تقييم الطلاب لقياس مدى تقدمهم نحو تحقيق أهداف المقرر المحددة
  • الإحتفاظ،، بشكل دقيق، ببيانات و سجلات الطلاب وتقديم التقارير والنماذج ذات الصلة متي ما طلب ذلك
  • تدريس المقررات في أوقات وأماكن مختلفة استجابة لاحتياجات القسم والكلية
  •  عقد ساعات مكتبية • المشاركة في أنشطة ولجان التطوير المهني على مستوى القسم والكلية.
