The post holder will be expected to contribute to the teaching assistant of Cyber Security and Computer Forensics, and the development of the department's growing provision in cyber security. In particular, the IT Department is interested in expanding its cybersecurity teaching team in the following areas:
Penetration testing methodologies and practices
Network fundamentals (theory and security)
Information Security Auditing
Exploit development
Malware analysis
Hacking and counter measure
Intrusion detection system
The role of the teaching assistant instructor also academic advising, professional development, and institutional/community service.
- Working with Instructional Developer/Designer, develops multimedia elements required for hybrid classes: (videos, videos/PowerPoint presentations/interactive activities, graphics, animation, etc.).
- Assists content experts in creating video and audio files, working on achieving the highest quality.
- Edits video and audio for inclusion in hybrid classes.
- Develops transcripts for video and audio to support accessibility.
- Working with hybrid team (developer/technician) imbeds such elements into the hybrid LSM environment.
- Combines video, audio and graphics for effective instructional videos and storyline
- Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including graphics, audio, video, “animation” and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and college initiatives in collaboration with the instructional designer.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
- 1 year of experience in producing audio and video files in an online environment.
- Excellent knowledge of integrating video, audio, and graphic files in learning management systems, especially Blackboard or in web-based environments in general.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop (Advantageous: Animate, Illustrator, Character Animator and Camtasia)
- Excellent knowledge of software and hardware necessary to support development of video, audio, and graphic files: video editing, multimedia development, interactive technology, web development.
- Should have strong on-camera skills (DSLRs, video cams etc.)
- A detailed, discerning eye for visual design with the ability to produce creative thoughts and new ideas.
- Organizational skills: self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple, complex projects in a timely manner.
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills to develop alternative solutions and works well in-group problem solving situations.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across the organization, including team members at remote sites.
- Ability to operate well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong bilingual interaction skills, English and Arabic.
- Works with content experts (faculty, disciplines, and departments) in identifying student learning outcomes to be delivered through online/hybrid activities.
- Develops overall plans and design for presenting course content in a comprehensive web-based environment.
- Aligns activities and their assessment to student learning outcomes.
- Assists content experts to determine which elements of course delivery, (lectures, activities, assessments, use of publisher textbooks and other published materials) should be included in the online environment and how they should be included.
- Supervises the creation of media to assist student learning (videos, PowerPoint presentations/ interactive activities, graphics, animation, etc.).
- Assists faculty in apportioning assignments between face to face and online, to ensure that hybrid portions of the classes require appropriate amounts of time (student workload) and fulfill appropriate elements of the hybrid-focused activities.
- Consults with faculty and staff to identify, research, analyze, and evaluate new technologies for potential application in instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
- Mentors faculty in the design and development of technology-enhanced courses.
- Working with faculty and student affairs experts, designs the format for an appropriate student orientation to be included within each hybrid class shell.
- Insures that the format of hybrid classes aligns across the courses offered at the college, with a common look and feel, common instructions, and including a common student orientation.

- Architect, implement and maintain virtual infrastructure solutions based on VMware and OVM.
- Administer and support core Microsoft servers, Active Directory, VMware and Oracle VM technologies.
- Manage and maintain VCenter and ESXi infrastructure along with VDS and standard switches.
- Solid Experience with Physical and Virtual Servers, operating system to include Windows, Unix and Linux, Desktops, Remote access and applications.
- Deploy, Administer and support Cisco UCS blade and rack server’s infrastructure along with unified network and storage platform.
- Manage and maintain fabric interconnect and MDS switches and sound understanding of networking terminologies and traffic flows.
- Deploy and configure storage area network, namely EMC VNX and Clarion infrastructure, which includes LUN creation and zoning.
Develop and deploy upgrade and migration plans for existing systems; primarily Argos enterprise.
Fix application and system problems, or any incident that is disrupting the application service that business users depend on.
Analyze requirements, create technical specifications and provide design recommendations for new and existing application.
- Ensure security and quality compliance and monitor continuous business improvements.
- Provide guidance for all complex resolutions, revival and root cause assessment.
Support the planning, implementation and upgrade of new and existing application including CRM Advise. Provide IT support on all levels as requested and assigned by management.
Develop and maintain up to date documentations that describe the use and standard operation procedures of your domains including systems, applications, maintenance and support services.
Conduct knowledge transfer and training with teams and colleagues as requested.
The ability to teach courses in both Arabic and English in respect with the required teaching schedules and according to the needs of the College. The ability to use teaching technology tools effectively.

The applicant is expected to:
prepare, teach and deliver courses following accepted higher education standards; teach students using a variety of effective methodologies and provide engagement and support activities that encourage student learning
teach up to 20 contact hours per week at our college-entry program and actively participate in student advising and support

The applicant must also demonstrate:
- native-level proficiency in spoken and written English in addition to strong communication skills
- minimum of three years of college level teaching experience in an academic ESL program and/or a combination of teaching and mentoring in ESOL
- experience in testing and assessment, instructional technology, and curriculum and materials development .
The applicant must have at least a Master’s degree in TESOL/ Applied Linguistics, or Education , or a closely related field of study (with a minimum of 18 graduate-level credit hours in the teaching discipline) from an internationally recognized university.
The Institutional Accreditation Expert/or Senior Specialist supports the work of the Head of Planning and Quality Assurance Department to develop and coordinate institutional and specialized ( program) accreditation activities at the Community College of Qatar and contribute to the preparation of all institutional accreditation requirements according to the standards of American accreditation Agencies.
Develop, implement, monitor, and oversee the accreditation process for the institution and programs.
Coordinate accreditation efforts and plans with Deans, Chairs, faculty, as well as heads of non-academic units.
Manage and coordinate data collection with respect to accreditation
Prepares comprehensive reports for management and external agencies
Prepare materials for the accreditation process
Develop and write accreditation materials
Assist with developing and conducting training sessions
Assist with institutional program review process
Performs office administrative duties; Compose letters, emails and other communications as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
